The Dichotomy of Newt: So Smart and Yet So Stupid

I believe that marriage is between a man and woman,” Gingrich said, the Des Moines register reports. “It has been for all of recorded history and I think this is a temporary aberration that will dissipate. I think that it is just fundamentally goes against everything we know.”
Gingrich thinks same sex marriage is a fad like hula hoops, bell bottoms, and grunge.  How can the self-described smartest man in the GOP field be so friggin’ stupid?  Were the women’s suffrage movement, civil rights movement, and the age of enlightenment aberrations?  Of course not, they were forces of nature and man manifesting the natural progression of the race.  Gingrich can deny homosexuality and the rights of the LGBT community all he wants, but this irresistible force will overcome his very rotund object.
Of course, I might be wrong as Gingrich is himself an expert on the institution of marriage and its history. He is now on his third marriage.

Sunni and Shia: So who are the bad guys again?

Baby faces vs. heals?   Cowboys vs Indians?   Good guy always where the white hat.   “Dig is he a good guy or bad guy?”   Bad guys always, looked, well, bad. You’re either with us or you’re against us.   Iraq, Iran, and North Korea are the axis of evil.
