Safari 2014 Journal: Eleven Glorious Days 6/1/14 Weather was much better today and after 9+ hours of sleep we were ready and raring to go.   At 9:00 Thomas from Wilderness Safaris picked us up for an all day tour of the cape area.   We had a great time, as Thomas was equal parts historian, guide and companion.   As we exited Cape Town we traveled down the coast stopping at Camps Bay and Chapman’s Peak for some great scenic pics.   Thomas explained the Dutch and English history, the beginning and end of Apartheid and the current income disparity between whites and blacks.   As we made our way to the Cape of Good Hope, we came across Baboon, Zebras, Ostriches and a Bontebok.   The Cape is the southernmost point in all of Africa.   At Cape Point we stopped for lunch and as we were leaving, a baboon decided to join some of the outside diners…who knew baboons like sushi.   After lunch, we drove north along False Bay and stopped to see the African Penguin colony at Boulders Bay
