Palin and Blood Libel

Palin told us this morning: "But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn."

Does she bother to check the words she uses in her speeches?  Apparently not.  From crosshairs to reload, and now blood libel.  The same term used to falsely accuse Jews of using the blood of Christan babies to make matzos on passover and for other religous ceremonies.  Seriously, you could not find another term to use to make your dull point?  You insensitive ignorant idiot. (I was very careful to use an accurate alliteration in this case).  And I am sure her number one fan Pat the anti-semite Buchanan will come to her rescue. 

The thing is, why are Conservatives so diction challenged?  Bush and the rest of the Neoconservative nincompoops who frequently used the term 'crusade' to describe our war on terror as we proceeded to invade two Muslim countries.  Grandpa Simpson McCain who would wander aimlessly around the stage like the inmates of the Turkish prison in Midnight Express, only McClueless would be muttering "bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran."

I blogged soon after the Tucson shooting about the importance of words and why they matter.  Can someone please get these people a Thesaurus?

Where were you on September 10, 2001?   What were you worried about?   What occupied your thoughts, worries, hopes, and dreams?   What were you excited about?   What were you interested in? Sunni and Shia: So who are the bad guys again?

Baby faces vs. heals?   Cowboys vs Indians?   Good guy always where the white hat.   “Dig is he a good guy or bad guy?”   Bad guys always, looked, well, bad. You’re either with us or you’re against us.   Iraq, Iran, and North Korea are the axis of evil.
