I'm not Meshugana, I'm just a little unwell...Yiddish Matchbox Twenty

-        When the new tax cuts get approved this week, will they stop calling them the Bush Tax Cuts and start calling them the Obama Tax Cuts?
-        China just tested a new bullet train for service between Beijing and Shanghai that reached 302 mph.  While in this US we are debating the pros and cons of gravel vs asphalt roads.  As China, gets richer and the developed the west gets further in debt, expect to see Beijing-Shanghai-Shenzhen-Guangzhou become permanent rotating Olympics venues.
-        I owe the New England Patriots’ brain trust an apology.  I mocked them when they selected Devin McCourty in the 1st round of this year’s draft.  Boy was I wrong as the young cornerback has emerged as rookie of the year candidate.
-        Do as I say, not as I do.  According to NationalJournal.com 52 current Congressmen in the Tea Party caucus requested 764 earmarks worth $1billion during the last fiscal period.
-        Watching the Patriots play in the snow in Chicago; is there a better team in those conditions?  Is there a better quarterback than Brady in those conditions?  Happy 28th anniversary to Mark Henderson, John Smith, Ron Meyer, Matt Cavanaugh, and Don Shula for the famous snowplow game.
-        The Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) released its three year study on education rankings of 15 year olds.  The United States ranked 14th out of 34 OECD countries for reading skills, 17th for science, and 25th for mathematics.  Why does that matter?  According to the OECD boosting US scores for reading, math and science by 25 points over the next 20 years would result in a gain of 41 trillion dollars for the US economy over the lifetime of the generation born in 2010.  We need a comprehensive reformation of the education process and philosophy in this country.  To be the best, we must study the best. Or perhaps we should continue waiting for Superman?
-        Thuffering Thucatash does John Boehner cry about everything?  I admit crying while watching Brian’s Song and Big Fish, but this guy cry’s like a teenage girl at Shea Stadium during the Beatles tour in 1965. I bet he cries during Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice.
-        Roof at Minnesota’s Metrodome collapsed this weekend.  I understand Tim Yawn Pawlenty and Michelle Mad Cow Bachmann are already blaming the President.
