The most noticeable observation is the large margin of advantage for the President  over each of the potential rivals.  Secondly, in 7 of the 8 polls, President Obama is above the critical 50% threshold.  Finally, the GOP must win Ohio if it hopes to regain the White House; without capturing that battleground state the chances for the Republican candidate go from long to hail Mary.

Rush Limbaugh’s alleged apology to Sandra Fluke:
"For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke."
Shame on Limbaugh’s parents because it is apparent that they never taught their son that a proper apology includes contrition.

I didn’t think it was possible, but there is actually a loonier group out there than the Tea Party faithful.  Have you heard of the Sovereign Citizens?  This loose affiliation of armed and dangerous right wing anarchists do not recognize local, state, and federal governments.  The Southern Poverty Law Center estimates there are 100,000 hard core members and another 200,000 testing the waters.  Several high profile ‘members’ have been involved in racketeering, embezzlement, and the murder of police officers.  So while Michele Bachmann and Newt Gingrich worry about Hezbollah cells in Cuba, we have 100,000 home grown terrorists to deal with.

That wraps up Sunday Night folks.  Have a great week.

  1. Yikes..I have not heard of Sovereign Citizens. Scary to think about. I am actually watching Morning Joe this morning and just saw the poll numbers. My first thought was "wow..these numbers have really changed in Obama's favor". Also important to note is that the number of unaffiliated voters who now have a negative view of Republicans has grown. The GOP can't possibly win the White House if this trend continues.
Very clever analogies with the TV shows. How about one more:
Big Bang Theory - How Santorum and Blunt managed to blow up the Republican party.

  2. Here you go Ms. Cricket. More plotlines from October. I do like your idea for the Big Bang Theory.
